Plot Kids launches Cheflings: a virtual pet game and an animated series at once

MasterChef meets Pokémon: on the same day, Plot Kids releases a mobile game and a kids animated series set in the Cheflings universe.

ASCJogos is celebrating the launch of Cheflings, a new transmedia project from Plot Kids, a member studio based in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil. From today, audiences can step into this universe through two doors at once: a virtual pet mobile game and a kids animated series. The brand's own tagline captures the spirit of the project: “Cheflings is about filling your stomach... and your heart too!”

The game: take care of your Chefling

In the mobile game, each Chefling is a virtual pet with its own personality, style, and flavor. The loop feels like a classic tamagotchi: you look after your creature, discover its unique style, build the perfect routine, and capture the funniest moments of daily life in the kitchen. It is a light, charming experience made for anyone who loves caring for cute creatures and having fun along the way.

The animated series

Alongside the game, the Cheflings animated series also premieres: 13 episodes of 7 minutes each, in 2D animation, in the comedy and fantasy genre, aimed at audiences aged 6 to 12. The story follows three nine-year-old friends, Amora, Caju, and Lucca, who accidentally create their own Cheflings: magical kitchen helpers that normally only professional chefs are allowed to keep. To hold on to their creatures, they must prove to Inspector Nestor that they can act responsibly.

In every episode, a cooking adventure becomes the starting point for a social-emotional lesson. Between one mishap and the next, the kids learn to handle emotions, frustrations, and challenges, around themes such as the difference between fact and opinion, empathy, and balance. Diversity is at the heart of the cast too: Caju, for example, is a character on the autism spectrum, reinforcing Plot Kids' commitment to representation and inclusion.

The series follows a weekly release schedule and can already be watched on TV Univali, a Brazilian university broadcaster, with a premiere also planned on TV UFSC. Later on, Cheflings will arrive on Looke (date to be confirmed).

Meet the crew

Amora, the ambitious leader who loves classic recipes, is paired with the Chefling Tubinho. Caju, calm, observant, and brutally honest, has Spicy by his side. And Lucca, the outgoing neighborhood food influencer, teams up with Vanilla. Together, and always under the watchful eye of Inspector Nestor, they turn every kitchen disaster into a small life lesson.
