Google Play Announces New Round of the Indie Games Fund Focusing on Latin America

The independent games scene in Latin America continues to gain momentum — and now has another significant opportunity for studios in the region. Google Play’s Indie Games Fund has opened applications for its new round of financial support, with a planned investment of US$ 2 million in 2025.

The initiative, aimed exclusively at independent studios with up to 50 team members that have already released at least one game (on platforms such as Google Play, other mobile platforms, PC, or console), will select 10 Latin American studios to receive direct support for the development of their upcoming projects.

With this new round, the program reaches a total of US$ 8 million dedicated to Latin America since its inception. The goal is clear: strengthen the indie ecosystem through financial support that helps studios accelerate production, reach new audiences, and scale operations more securely.

Applications are open until July 31, 2025, at 12:00 PM (Brasília time). Interested studios should carefully review the program criteria and prepare their applications with attention.
