Santa Catarina Makes Its Mark at Gamescom Latam with Support from Sebrae-SC

Santa Catarina had a prominent presence at Gamescom Latam with its own booth, talks, and exhibiting companies!
From April 30 to May 4, Santa Catarina participated in Gamescom Latam, one of the leading digital games industry events in Latin America, held in São Paulo. The state’s participation took place through a mission organized with the support of Sebrae-SC, bringing together representatives of Santa Catarina’s game ecosystem in a strategic effort aimed at promoting business, increasing visibility, and strengthening the sector institutionally.

In total, 27 professionals joined the mission, representing 12 companies from different regions of the state. Santa Catarina’s presence featured a dedicated booth for the SC Games project — an initiative carried out in partnership with Univali — where various games developed by local studios were showcased, highlighting the creativity and innovative potential of the sector.
The Gamescom Latam program also included participation by Santa Catarina representatives in panels and talks on topics of national and international relevance. Highlights include:

Luiza Guerreiro – Calm: Low-Stimulation Games for Children, Launch of the 2nd Edition of the Brasil Tá Pra Game Award, Navigating Challenges: Empowering Global Latam (Company: Plot Kids)
The Santa Catarina delegation also included BRUNO RODRIGUES DA CUNHA (Project and Business Analyst) and Paulo Menezes Rubin (Business Analyst), both from Sebrae-SC, as well as Heleno Orlandino Martins Júnior (Manager of the Santa Catarina Network of Innovation Centers) from the State Secretariat for Science, Technology, and Innovation (SCTI). This institutional presence reinforced the alignment between the public sector and the productive sector in promoting the creative economy.
At the exhibition space, the games Sunny Trails and Play Together TV by Plot Kids, andYVY, by Ludomancy Games, were showcased to the public, capturing the interest of visitors and potential partners.
Santa Catarina’s participation in Gamescom Latam reinforces the state’s position as a leading hub for digital game development, featuring an expanding, collaborative, and innovation-driven ecosystem.
