A Surreal Open-World RPG About Finding Purpose in a Digital Afterlife



Mon Ami Interactive, a small independent studio from Brazil, unveiled Something Meaningful, a surreal open-world RPG where players navigate an experimental digital afterlife designed in the nostalgic style of the 90s. 



After being "disconnected" from the real world, players awaken inside a beta afterlife program created by Xmeta Corp, a cutting-edge tech company selling comfort through nostalgia. Trapped in this artificial paradise with others who uploaded their consciousness for a paycheck, everyone's searching for meaning, purpose, and maybe a way to feel alive again.

Something Meaningful blends open-world exploration with RPG progression, unexpected minigames, and cartoonish characters in a world that feels both strange and deeply human. Starting with no privileges, players must work, study, and train to improve attributes, unlock new areas, and discover what truly matters in this second chance at existence.

Mon Ami Interactive is a small independent studio founded by three developers who left their previous careers to fully dedicate themselves to Something Meaningful. Based in Florianópolis, Brazil, the team blends creative vision, technical skill, and a multidisciplinary approach to craft experiences that feel both strange and deeply human.
